The cantilever lounge chair, designed in 1936 by the locksmith Battista Giudici and his brother Gino for the Locarno Lido, has long been a classic of its genre. This early Swiss tubular steel lounger stands out, thanks to its simplicity, lightness and functionality. The tubular steel frame – galvanised both inside and out – is sturdy and weatherproof. The curved shape guarantees exceptional comfort for either sitting or lying. The fabric (either 100% acrylic or linen-mix) can be easily adjusted for both positions. If the fabric is removed, the frames can be pushed into each other and stacked to save space. wb form has maintained the classic lounger’s original form and complemented it with a footstool. The armrests from an earlier design of the Lido Lounge Chair have been replaced by high-quality PVC cord.
